The flag for the town of Plainville, Connecticut consists of the seal centered on a white bedsheet. The seal is blue and the version on the flag is a slight variation from the original.
Plainville is a town in Hartford County. They have 17,525 people as of 2020
and are known for their chicken wing restaurants like Sliders and J. Timothy's.
Plainville should not be confused with the distant town of Plainfield.

Inside the seal are two semicircles split by the words "ESTO PERPETUA" which is
roughly Latin for "Let it exist forever"; this is also
Idaho's motto. In the top semicircle are three cogs and in the bottom
semicircle is a steamboat in the water. Plainville was incorporated in 1869 when
it split from Farmington.

In 1999, an article by the Hartford Courant described the first flag for the town of Plainville, Connecticut:
"The flag will be divided into four squares, colored blue, green, yellow and red, and will boast the town seal in its center."
It was likely created by former town manager Robert Jackson, but I am not sure. Jackson hoped the creation of a town flag would inspire numerous other towns to do the same.
