Ratio: 3:5, Spanish style triband of golden yellow, white and golden yellow, with black division (approx.:11+1+30+1+11); on the upper stripe the inscription "AMADOR COUNTY" and on the bottom stripe "CALIFORNIA", both in dark red serif capitals. On the white stripe the image of a settler by his pack holding pike and spade, flanked by the figures "18" and "54", forming a date, set in dark red bold digits.
