It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain red field.

Shield Or three wine leaves Vert emphasized Argent in fess, on chief an orbicular cross Gules (Portuguese Templar cross) and on base a bagpipe Gules. Mural crown
Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "VILA CHÃ DE BRACIOSA".
Meaning:
Featured on the arms are local vineyards, local folk music, and the Templar presence in the area of this commune.
In spite of the bilingual status (enshrined in the Constitution of 1999), the scroll  is not bilingual, according to the law (signed in 2007).

Vila Chã de Braciosa is one of the six communes of Miranda do Douro Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 327 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 42,94 km².
