It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of green and yellow.

Coat of arms

Shield Or, a boat Azure seen from prow, garnished Argent and Gules with stem and oars Sable, flanked by two corn plants Vert, in central chief a plumb line Gules. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "QUIAIOS".

Quiaios Commune is one of the 14 communes of the Figueira da Foz municipality (q.v.); it had 3042 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 52.3 km².
