No Flag

It appears La Libertad does not use a municipal flag.

Coat of Arms

image from Facebook

The council informed me they do not have information on its coat of arms in their archives. The shield has a ribbon over it with the style of a crown for its colonial history, reading "LA LIBERTAD". The shield has a thin yellow border. It depicts in its background, the sky and greenery for its geography. In front, the Usumacinta River is depicted, with a hand holding a cob of corn for agriculture, basic aliment of the people, and another holding a fish for fishing in the river. Over the river, more symbols of the economy are seen: a palm tree emerges, used for the extraction of its fruits, and two cows are seen to its sides for cattle-raising.
