Description

Local Council [since 2008: City Council] Modi'in Illit is in Judea and Samaria District. Local Council since 1996 with 23'500 inh. (2003), all ultra orthodox Jews. it is situated about 4 km north to Modi'in and it was founded by unification of Qiryat Sefer (est. 1985) and Gane Modi'in (previously part of Hashmonaim community).
