Shield Argent a knife Gules in bend, in dexter base an inescutcheon Azure, parted by a bend Argent charged with three annulets Azure.
Meaning:
Julius Echter of Mespelbrunn, Bishop of Würzburg granted a court seal to the municipality in 1586.The inescutcheon displays his personal lesser arms.The knife is an attribute of St. Bartholomew, the local patron saint.

Banner and arms were approved on  13 March 1969. The village mayor wrote to M. Schmöger. She told her that a banner had never been in use.
