Shield Azure a church Or with two towers shaped different.
Meaning:
At the beginning of the 12th century the area was ruled by Count Wiprecht of Groitzsch, who populated region by Franconian farmers in 1105. At the same time a priory of the Benedictine Pegau Monastery was founded. Its church still is the local parish church, dedicated to St. Kilian. In 1158 Lausick had been a fortified market town and was given under direct rule of the Holy Roman Empire. Meanwhile being a city Lausick became a part of the Lordship of Colditz in the 14th century. In 1819 a mineral spring was discovered. Having been de facto a spa for nearly 100 years the prefix "Bad" was added in 1913 together with the official status of a spa. The church on the arms is a representation of the local parish church.
