Eberstadt Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Sable a boar issuant Or, beneath Or an antler Sable in fess.
Meaning:
The boar (German: Eber) is a canting element. The antler is alluding to the Dukes of Württemberg, who ruled the municipality since 1504. A sculpture displaying this pattern was fixed on the local church tower in 1628. In the 18th, 19th and early 20th century the image changed, displaying a complete boar without the antlers. The ols pattern was restored and the tinctures were fixed in 1938.
