Buggingen Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, a bend sinister Or, parted by three chevrons Sable, in dexter chief an orb Or fixed Gules, in sinister base a horseshoe Or.
Meaning:
On 1 January 1974 Buggingen proper and Seefelden merged. Both villages belonged to the Lordship of Badenweiler and were acquired in 1503 by the Margraves of Baden. The orb, probably in fact a bushel, is taken from the former arms of Buggingen from 1904. The horseshoe was chosen as a local symbol of Seefelden. The bend sinister with chevrons is taken from the arms of the Lords of Badenweiler and had also been part of the former arms of Seefelden from 1899.
