About the Flag

The municipality of Terra Boa (17,094 inhabitants in 2019; 32,091 ha) is located 500 km north-west of Curitiba.

The flag and arms of Terra Boa are prescribed by Municipal Law No. 350 promulgated on 3 June 1991.

Article 1.
§1 The flag of Terra Boa, created by citizens Célia Regina Cristovão Dias and Marcos Marques dos Santos, has:
I - In the right angle, the sun that symbolizes the source of life, strength and vigor of the Terra Boa's people, who is renewed every day in search of progress and development.
II - Triangles as a symbol of equality, fraternity and freedom, the upper in blue symbolizing the beauty and purity of feelings, elevation of Terra Boa's people to God, a necessary condition for the ennobling work. The bottom triangle is golden yellow, symbolizing the richness of our soil, the great feature considered when naming the municipality of Terra Boa.
III - Two white stripes symbolizing peace, order and tranquility as a behavior of the population already demonstrated in the course of its history.
IV - A red stripe symbolizing people's charity, love, energy, courage and dedication.
V - A star in the center symbolizes the county, people's great achievement, in red that symbolizes triumph. The center of the star is crossed by a white stripe, with the name of the municipality written in blue.

§2. The coat of arms of Terra Boa, created by citizens Célia Regina Cristovão Dias and Marcos Marques dos Santos, has:
I - A central star representing the county of Terra Boa, people's great achievement, in red that symbolizes triumph.
II - Around the star a coffee branch, a soybean plant and another of wheat, symbolizing the municipality's agricultural resources.
III - A little below the star three gears that symbolize people's struggle in search of progress and development.
IV - The coat of arms with a yellow background that symbolizes nobleness, a characteristic considered when naming the municipality.
V - In base a scroll showing the name of the municipality in blue, which symbolizes justice, truth, loyalty and beauty.
