"Outback Steakhouse" (company name: Outback Steakhouse, Inc.) is an American
chain of Australian-themed casual dining restaurants, serving American cuisine,
based in Tampa, Florida. The chain has over 1,000 locations in 23 countries
throughout North America, South America, Asia, and Australia. It was founded on
March 15, 1988. It was owned and operated in the United States by OSI Restaurant
Partners (http://www.osigroup.com) until
it was acquired by Bloomin' Brands (http://www.bloominbrands.com),
and by other franchise and venture agreements internationally.
In 2006, a
new Outback logo was introduced, dropping the old kangaroo logo for a more
simplistic and modern Outback mountain range logo.

There's a (rather
current) flag in use which features the 2006 logo in white lettering over a
black background.

The 2006 logo in
fact is based on the original 1988 logo which "is a two-leveled bright red
lettering, written against a plain white background, with the upper line
enlarged and emboldened, executed in a designer typeface with uneven edges,
while the bottom level is set in a lightweight font with small capitals.
Additionally in its 2006 version it got a small addition, featuring an abstract
landscape contour, drawn in solid strokes and placed above the lettering part,
with the font type being more Publicity Gothictrade or Publicity Headline more
likely" (Source: https://1000logos.net/outback-steakhouse-logo)
