The logo is a horizontally oblong ellipse conjoined with an oblong rectangle with semicircular ends underneath. The ellipse has a light grey outside orle and thick black edging and shows a sunset/sunrise view of the namesake island, with its contour in black but including a white lighthouse beam, all against a purple-down to-amber gradient sky; in the foreground lettering reading "Alcatraz" in very pale yellow Copperplate capitals above two stylized light grey waves, shaped roughly like swung dashes one atop the other. On the "sign" below, white extra spaced bold sans serif capitals reading "Cruises" followed with a "®".
