The city emblem was adopted on August 27th 1909 but there is no flag law. The white flag is charged with a red city emblem in the center. The flag proportions are 2:3.
The city emblem is a stylized kanji 井 I of the former city name of 井の口 Inoguchi.

Yanaizu Town / 柳津町

The flag of the former town of Yanaizu was white with mark. The town is now, part of the city of Gifu.

The former Yanaizu Town 柳津町 bacame a part of Gifu City on Jan 1st 2006.

The design features the letter “Y” at its center, surrounded by the letter “S”—the initials of the two former villages—symbolizing the harmony between the two districts and the town’s future development following the merger.
