The city emblem was adopted on Oct 25th 2004 by Notice No 1 but there is no
flag law. The maroon flag has a white city emblem in the center. The city emblem
is a stylized katakana エナ Ena in a form of flying bird and the Sun. The six
feathers of the wings symbolizes the former six towns and villages merged. The
center triangle represents that the citizen are united to improve the surge and
the development of the city.

The katakana character アケチ “Akecchi” has been stylized into a design, with the circular shape symbolizing the town's unity and peace.

The kanji character “岩” (rock) has been stylized into a design in which the circular shape represents peace, while the sharp angles symbolize the town's potential for growth.

The kanji character “岡” is placed at the center, surrounded by a stylized version of the kanji character “山.” It symbolizes harmony, unity, and progress within the town.
