Expo 2030 Riyadh is set to take place from October 1, 2030 to March 31, 2031. It was elected at the 173rd BIE GEneral Assembly held on November 28, 2023. The Expo is guided by the theme "The Era of Change: Together for a Foresighted Tomorrow" simplified "Foresight for Tomorrow" - a call to harness innovation, sustainability, and collective action to shape a more prosperous, inclusive, and resilient future for all.
It is a landmark occasion since it marks the culmination of "رؤية السعودية ۲۰۳۰" (English: Saudi Vision 2030, sometimes called Project 2030, a government initiative launched in 2016 to diversify Saudi Arabia's economy, society, and culture.

The association in charge of its operation is the "Expo 2030 Riyadh Co., known as ERC, which is a private company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia."
