It is a blue over white over red flag divided per bend. In the blue stripe there is a white rower, in the white stripe is the inscription "KRC 71", in the red stripe is the coat of arms of the city of Köln.
The name is derived from the maildistribution - district "Köln 71", information was provided by Heiner Pyhel (chairman).
