Riedern

Per pale Sable and Or overall a trunk raguly palewise issuant from a mount of three coupeaux between two six-pointed mullets all counterchanged.

Since 1 January 2011 Riedern is part of Glarus commune.

Names like Ried(ern), Riet, Rüti etc. come from the verbs roden, reuten (clearing trees), thus the emblem with the tree trunk is canting.
