Thornton adopted a new flag in May 2024 and a new logo in June 2024. The previous logo was adopted in 1979.

An image of the flag and a city council resolution describing the new logo was provided to me by Records Program Administrator Reese Evenson.

Description of new logo from city council resolution of June 2024: "The new logo evolved to represent several elements highlighted as important to the community. The "T" for Thornton, the City's natural beauty in parks and trails, a nod to the curved structure of the old logo, and the roads and movement for the City's prime location. Together they were integrated into the new colorful logo."

Information about the new logo is found on page 2 of the May-June issue of the Thornton City Voice newspaper. https://www.thorntonco.gov/media/file/may-june-2024-city-voice-newspaper
