Per pale Gules and Or a monk Proper habited Sable nimbed Or holding a bible of the First and a staff of the Third a lion rampant Gules holding an oar palewise of the Same.

The monk on the flag of Rudolfstetten-Friedlisberg shows St. Fridolin – hence the name Friedlisberg – , although his name doesn't appear in the official blazoning.

On 1 January 1967 Rudolfstetten and Friedlisberg merged to form the new commune of Rudolfstetten-Friedlisberg.

The lion is associated with Rudolf of Habsburg, because, according to legend, he lent his horse to a priest to help him cross the steep Reppisch river. The lion is the Habsburg coat of arms motif.
