Shield Argent a serpent rampant Gules adorned Or with womans head proper veiled Vert, in base a mount Azure lined Argent charged with a 10-point star Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "ASSARES".
Meaning:
In the blazon, the serpent is termed "monstruosa" ("monstrous") and I don´t know what that means, heraldry-wise. The star is shown with ten points, standing on one point, and fairly thin (not dense); it is blazoned as "luzeiro", a somewhat archaic word that means either ",beacon", or "light source".
